Things to do whilst staying at Craigiewood
Garden Tour
One of your hosts, Gavin, is an experienced garden designer and
plantsman. While you are staying at Craigiewood he will take you on a
tour of the Northern Highlands most beautiful and interesting gardens.
Some of these gardens are private and not usually open to the public.
It happens that many of them are in areas of outstanding natural beauty and some come with castles attached!
Local Walks
We are fortunate to live on a peninsula sandwiched between Munlochy Bay and the waters of the Inner Moray Firth most of this penninsula is only accessible to walkers.
You can enjoy walks in outstanding countryside lasting from half an hour to a whole day.
The page, linked on the left, shows a map of the area around Craigiewood, with known pathways marked. This gives some idea of the terrain and wild-life habitats you will encounter.
Car Tours
Craigiewood is superbly positioned for touring the Northern Highlands in your car. There are a number of circular routes which take you to all parts of the compass and which can be completed, easily, in a day. Routes for these tours are now available at the link on the right.
